Privacy policy
Updated by Isadora Venn. Links to Amazon earn us a commission (how that works).
Brew Clock doesn't run analytics or ad networks, and it has no tracking pixels. This page lists everything that does touch your browser, which is a short list.
On this site
One setting is saved in your browser's local storage: whether you chose light or dark mode, under the key "bc-theme". It never leaves your device and the site has no way to read it remotely.
There are no cookies set by Brew Clock. There's no account system either, and no comment form. The calculators run entirely in your browser; the numbers you type aren't sent anywhere.
The video
The video section shows a button, not a player. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play, and then the player comes from youtube-nocookie.com, Google's reduced-tracking domain. Once it loads, Google's own privacy policy applies to that player.
After you click to Amazon
When you follow a link to Amazon, you're on Amazon's site and its privacy notice applies. Amazon uses the tracking tag in the link to credit this site for qualifying purchases. Brew Clock receives order totals and product categories in Amazon's reports. It never sees your name or address, or anything about the rest of your cart.
Hosting
The site is served as static files from a hosting provider that, like any web server, may keep short-lived technical logs such as IP address and requested page for security and reliability. Brew Clock doesn't use those logs to profile visitors.
If you write to the contact address, your message is kept only as long as it's needed to answer it or to record a correction. It isn't added to any mailing list, because there isn't one.
Changes
If anything here changes, for example if analytics are ever added, this page will say so with a date before it happens. Last reviewed Oct. 27, 2026.
